Construction Code Consulting (for GCs)
Pre-construction fire-protection support that keeps the schedule from being broken by the AHJ at TCO.
For Texas GCs, the fire-protection contractor is often the last sub on site and the first one to be blamed when the AHJ won't sign TCO. We work upstream instead.
- Pre-construction plan review. We sit with the architect's fire-protection narrative before drawings are stamped. Catch the issues before they're in CDs.
- AHJ pre-application meetings. We attend with the GC and the design team to align expectations on system requirements, witness requirements, and inspection sequencing.
- Sub-coordination. We coordinate fire-protection scope across alarm, sprinkler, suppression, ERCES, and life-safety contractors so the GC has one fire-protection conversation, not five.
- TCO inspection prep. Two weeks before TCO, we do a full mock inspection — every system, every device. By the time the AHJ shows up, the building passes the first time.
For GCs we work with regularly, this is a flat-fee engagement scoped per project, not an hourly meter. We want predictable cost on your side.
