News & Innovation

Zion doesn't just execute against the fire code — we build tools that change how our industry works with it. This is where we announce those tools, share the field experience behind them, and publish company news.

Innovation · Patent-Pending

Building Signal Check™ — the first tool that tells Texas building owners whether IFC §510 applies to them, in 60 seconds.

We built Building Signal Check because owners kept asking the same question — "Do I really need ERCES?" — and no one in Texas could answer it without a paid site visit. So we built the tool that answers it for free, in a minute, backed by 291 Texas AHJs and 691 cities of coverage across 13 U.S. states — constantly expanding.

Why Zion builds its own software

Most Texas fire-protection contractors buy off-the-shelf inspection software, complain about it, and move on. We took a different path: when the tools we needed didn't exist, we built them. Some of them — like Building Signal Check and FireWatchPro — turned out to be tools the whole industry needed.

We publish that work here. Not because we're a software company — we're not. Because our customers deserve to know their fire-protection partner is investing in the tools that keep their buildings compliant, and because the fire-protection industry deserves better technology than it has.
